Project Execution

In this project we had quite a big team of seven people which was difficult to manage, but we did.

The assignment we got was to make a “video clip 2.0”, which was pretty hard for us to visualize. In the end, for us personally, making it more a rhythm game was the best approach we could choose, and so we did.

In this project, my task was to work on the touch input since the game was made for mobile, and we wanted a quirky mechanic in the game. We decided to mix magic and cyberpunk, so what we decided to do is to make it so you'd have to draw runes on the screen in time to get through the checks.

For the rune drawing mechanics I used the new unity input system to track touch input on when it started, the delta movement of it and when it ended. With these combined, it made it possible for me to create the rune drawing.

This was the first time for me to make a touch input game, so it was something new to learn, but it did teach me quite a lot about touch input.
